Horseback Riding On The Beach At This Impressive Southern Resort

The Sea Island Equestrian Center encompasses 13 acres of pasture and four barns. Both English balance seat, hunt seat, and western-style riding are taught at this Southern hotel resort – with instruction for every level of experience, including first time riders, and all ages.

• Horseback rides on the beach are offered daily.
• A natural history ride along marsh, interdune, and ocean beach habitats reveals the flora and fauna of the tidal low country.
• Ring riding, from lead-arounds to advanced riders, is available daily.
• Private or group instruction is available daily. Private cart driving lessons are available by appointment.
• Special clinics and programs just for children are offered seasonally.
• Wooded trail rides can be arranged by appointment.
• Overnight, short- and long-term boarding is available.

Sea Island Trail and Training Packages 2009

The Sea Island Equestrian Center offers four- and six-day packages that include hotel accommodations, three hours of riding daily from a selection of dressage, stadium jumping, beach and wooded trail rides; horse, tack and instruction; English or Western saddles, breakfast daily at 100 Hudson or the Oak Room; dinner nightly at Big George's, the River Bar or the Oak Room; full use of resort facilities. Four-Day Equestrian Packages: 
November 1–February 28 – $2,782/person, shared; $1,027 single supplement.  Equestrian plus golf (four days of riding for one with four days of golf for companion), $5,029.
March 1-October 31 - $3,208/person, shared; $1,4252 single supplement.  Equestrian plus golf, $5,996.

Six-Day Equestrian Packages:
November 1–February 28 – $4,173/person, shared; $1,540 single supplement.  Equestrian plus golf (six days of riding for one with six days of golf for companion), $7,543. 
March 1-October 31 – $4,811/person, shared; $2,179 single supplement.  Equestrian plus golf, $8,948.

Golf on Seaside incurs a $75 surcharge.  Forecaddie gratuity is additional.
