Authors, historians, guest speakers and visiting artists inspire creativity, curiosity and intellectual play. Art and antiques, architecture and garden design, grand pianos and dance bands, gallery talks and good books - the fine arts are fine pleasures at Sea Island.

Music & Dance

  • Resident dance instructor Audrey Wood has taught Sea Island guests and members the fine points of  ballroom dancing for over a decade and she makes it all seem so easy.
  • End of day is traditionally marked at The Lodge by the lone bagpiper saluting the sunset with soul-stirring refrains across the fairway.

Tours & Talks

  • A Guided Tour of The Cloister Interior
  • The Cloister Kitchen and Wine Cellar Tour
  • The Cloister Garden Walk
  • Jekyll Island Historic Tour
  • St. Simons/Sea Island Tour

Etiquette

At Sea Island, the art of gracious courtesy, whether social or business, is taught by certified instructor Jennifer Daniel, graduate of the Washington School of Protocol.

  • During the summer, etiquette classes designed for children ages 5-6 (Mini Manners) and ages 7 and older (ABCs of Manners) are available weekly. Private sessions can also be arranged.
  • Business Etiquette is a one-hour primer for busy executives and their spouses.
