Coastal horseback riding with an expert guide is a not-to-be-missed Sea Island experience. The rides are delightful and invigorating, and help to connect guests with Sea Islands beautiful natural surroundings. Experience a profound sense of freedom and adventure. Horseback rides along the south end of Sea Island beach are a unique way to explore the ocean beach habitat of the Georgia coast, and are available for experienced riders over age 10. Wooded trail rides are also available, with private escorts upon request.

For both skilled and novice riders, Sea Island offers tailored experiences.

Ring Rides

For our younger guests ages 3 and up offer children a chance to meet the horses along with a 20-minute ring ride.

Tiny Tykes Stables Tours

Give riders, ages 3-6, hands-on learning experiences as they meet, greet and ride the stable horses. Parents are encouraged to join in. Tours are available Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Reservations are required by 6 pm the day prior.

Private Lessons

Available for riders of all ages using English or western saddles. Jumping lessons are offered for the more experienced rider.

Saddle Up Horsemanship Clinic

A beginner horsemanship experience for ages 7-12 including hands-on horse care, grooming and riding. Clinics are offered Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Reservations are required by 6 pm the day prior.

Private Family Horsemanship Experience

A 90-minute hands-on lesson that includes grooming, tacking, a private family trail ride and tour of the barn.
