• Salt marsh tours by boat: An up-close look at the unique ecosystem of the barrier islands' marshes and the treasures they hold. See oyster beds, live shrimp, and birds.
• Marsh kayaking: The ideal way to explore the vast tidal grasslands behind the resort's barrier islands. Tandem kayaks can be reserved to facilitate family outings.
• Guided barrier island bike ride: Explore the natural history and ecology of the island by bike.

• Sea turtle walks with a nature guide on select dates throughout the summer, based on the likelihood of turtle activity, are a one-of-a-kind educational experience. Learn about these magnificent sea creatures and look for turtle tracks, nesting mothers, or hatchlings headed for their first swim in the sea.
• Sea Turtle Expedition: Join our naturalist for a private dawn patrol of the beach to search for sea turtle tracks, nests and hatchlings.Learn about sea turtle conservation and how Sea Island's efforts are improving their nesting survivability.
• Ocean Seining: Learn more about local sea critters by ocean seining with nature guides, helping to pull the 60-foot net through the surf zone.
• Coastal Discovery Pursuit Courses: These interactive courses for children ages 9 to 14 are dedicated to the exploration and education of Sea Island's nature and ecology.Daily courses include marsh eco-labs, gyotaku fish printing, archery, kayaking and more.
