All Cottages are comfortably furnished with a fully-equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, and fresh linens (including beach towels). Daily housekeeping services may be arranged prior to your arrival for an additional fee. Sea Island Cottage guests enjoy concierge assistance with pre-arrival itinerary planning, including airport transfers, grocery delivery, resort dining, babysitting services, activity and spa reservations.
Sea Island is bordered by five miles of private beach on the Atlantic Ocean to the east and separated from St. Simons Island by the Black Banks River and wide salt marshes to the west. Sidewalks run the length of much of Sea Island Drive (up to 36th Street), making walking and bicycling a pleasant way to reach The Cloister and other resort facilities. Bicycle and golf cart rentals are available through your concierge.

Temporary Club Membership cards are required for all guests age 7 and older. Prior to arrival, please complete the Cottage Rental Membership Form to ensure each guest receives a card at check-in.
Your cottage rental concierge will assist you with the details of your stay including dining, tee times, babysitting arrangements, activity and spa reservations, cancellation and pet policies.
Cottage check-in begins at 4 p.m. but may vary during peak arrival periods. Check-out is no later than 10 a.m. Check in at the Cottage Rentals registration office located in the Sea Marsh Building at 351 Sea Island Road on St. Simons Island. (Just beyond the Frederica Road and Sea Island Road intersection). After checking-in, you will be greeted at the Security Gate, where you will receive an access decal for your vehicle(s). Should you arrive when the office is closed, proceed directly to the Sea Island security gate to check-in.
Special Needs — Your concierge can arrange for cribs, highchairs, or other specialty items, upon request.
Cottage Pools — Many pools can be heated for a charge, with 48-hour advanced notice. Please inquire with your concierge to arrange.
Housekeeping — Pre-arrival and post-departure cleanings are included in your rental rate. Additional housekeeping services are available for an additional charge. Please inquire with your concierge to arrange.
Pets — Unless otherwise noted, pets are not permitted in cottage rentals. Select homes and condominiums will accept dogs, for an additional charge, with advance notice. Click here to view dog-friendly properties.
Functions – Functions that exceed two times the maximum occupancy of a cottage (two people per bedroom) are not permitted. This includes weddings and other events.

We are enhancing our experiences by adding a bowling alley and pub at The Cloister Beach Club.
You may notice this project underway during your stay at the Beach Club in 2019.
During your selected dates, rooms in The Cloister Main building will be undergoing a redesign which will include new furniture, soft furnishings and floor refinishing.
This redesign will be done in phases to minimize the impact on your experience with us.

The Lodge is not available for the dates you have chosen. We are beginning an enhancement project on July 10 that will continue through August and thought it best to close sleeping rooms so that we would not negatively impact our guest experience. Our three golf courses, Golf Pro Shop, Golf Performance Center and locker rooms will remain open. Evening dining will be available at Colt & Alison and the Oak Room, and the bagpiper will continue to play from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. each evening. Please check our other properties for availability. We are offering an Unlimited Golf Package at both The Cloister and The Inn during The Lodge closure.
