Benefits

Health Care Plan
This plan is available to full-time team members with three months of continuous service (no waiting period for salaried team members). This is a comprehensive medical plan, with coverage available as team member, team member + spouse, team member + children and family. Premiums for this coverage are payroll deducted. All plans include a wellness benefit that covers up to $500 every year for routine physical examinations and smoking cessation for covered team members and their spouses.

Part-time Sickness and Accident Plan
Team members in part-time regular positions are eligible to purchase a limited benefit medical plan, which provides illness, accident, and prescription coverage. Also offered through this Plan are optional dental and vision coverages. Coverage is available for team members and their eligible dependents. The premiums for this insurance are payroll deducted.

Supplemental Life Insurance
Full-time team members who have basic life insurance have the option of increasing their coverage by purchasing supplemental insurance.

Long-term Disability
This plan is available to full-time team members with one year of continuous service. This benefit is non-taxable. There is a small team member premium contribution for this benefit which is payroll deducted.

Flexible Spending Accounts
There are two types of accounts available: a Medical Spending Account and a Dependent Care Spending Account. Full-time team members are eligible to enroll in the medical spending account during the annual open enrollment period, after one year of continuous service. Part-time or full-time team members may enroll in the dependent care spending account immediately upon hire. Both accounts can help you save tax dollars on eligible medical and dependent care expenses, because the money contributed is deducted from weekly pay before taxes.

Team Member Assistance Program (EAP)
Offers confidential and professional counseling and crisis intervention services for full-time team members and their family members. The EAP also offers wellness education, coaching and referral services for health issues such as weight management, smoking cessation fitness and exercise, asthma and diabetes, to name a few. There is no cost to team members for this benefit.

Sickness Leave
The Company provides paid wellness leave for all full-time non-exempt team members. Wellness leave is to be used for non-work related illness or injury and is intended for the sickness or medical appointments of the team member or covered dependent(s). Team members receive 40 hours per calendar year.

Sea Island Company recognizes 7 paid holidays each year for full time team members:

Dr. Martin Luther King Day
Memorial Day
Independence Day (4th of July)
Labor Day
Thanksgiving Day
Christmas Day

HealthCheck 360 Wellness Plan
Full time team members enrolled in the medical plan can save up to $50 per month by opting into HealthCheck 360. Enrollment is offered annually, in October. Those enrolled receive a free biometric screening and wellness coaching call.

Dental Care Plan
This plan is available to full-time team members with three months of continuous service (no waiting for salaried team members). Coverage is available as team member, team member + spouse, team member + children and family. Premiums for this coverage are payroll deducted.

Vision Care Plan
This plan is available to full-time team members with three months of continuous service (no waiting for salaried team members). Coverage is available as team member, team member + spouse, team member + children and family. Premiums for this coverage are payroll deducted.

Prescription Plan
Team members are automatically enrolled in the prescription drug plan if they are covered under the Health Care Plan.

Basic Life Insurance
Full-time team members and their covered dependents are provided with life insurance at no cost, after three months of continuous service (no waiting period for salaried team members).

Short-term Disability
Full-time team members with one year of continuous service are eligible for this benefit.

Sea Island 401 (K) Savings Plan
This plan is available to team members who are 21 years of age and have completed one year of service with at least 1,000 hours worked. The plan enables team members to save for retirement through pretax contributions by automatic payroll deduction.

Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D)
Full-time team members are provided with AD&D insurance after three months of continuous service (no waiting period for salaried team members).

Vacation
Full-time, non-exempt team members are eligible for vacation benefits based on the following schedule. Vacation PTO is based on an accrual system. The team member’s vacation hours earned are based on the average number of hours worked (excluding hours paid for overtime, commissions, service charge, bonuses, incentives and shift differentials) in the preceding 12 months.
