About the Chef
Robert Reynaud, Chef de Cuisine
Inspiration for becoming a chef: Reynaud’s love for cooking began at age twelve while making fudge with his grandmother. He knew there was something more to food than just taste, and “soft balling” the sugar mixture was just too interesting to forget!
Career Highlights: Reynaud has traveled all over the world studying, exploring and shaping his culinary path; his travels include Italy—throughout Parma, Modena and Bologna. Prior to joining Sea Island, Reynaud studied in California’s wine country to focus on the relationship of pairing food and wine. He also served as Corporate Executive Sous Chef at That’s Amore restaurant in Washington D.C.
Foodie Fun Fact: If not a chef, Reynaud says he would be a Financial Advisor!
