The McGladrey Classic tournament staff, in conjunction with the PGA TOUR, announced that the third annual event will be held October 15-21, 2012 at Sea Island Golf Club's Seaside course at St. Simons Island, Georgia. Just like the previous two events, the upcoming tournament promises to be a fantastic spectacle for spectators and players alike as they experience the area's rich history, culture, and extraordinary hospitality.

With the help of tournament host and chairman Davis Love III, his foundation and title sponsor McGladrey, the event is expected to be a hit, drawing on one of the strongest fields on the PGA TOUR's Fall Series schedule. Top players from St. Simons and Sea Island are expected to participate, including Davis Love III, Lucas Glover, Jonathan Byrd, Matt Kuchar and Zach Johnson.

"We're thrilled to be the host organization of The McGladrey Classic," said Mark Love, the tournament's Executive Director. "The economic benefit to Georgia's Golden Isles is significant. We look forward to providing a rich experience to all those playing, working and watching the tournament."

Special Olympics, Boys and Girls Clubs of Southeast Georgia and other local children and family charities will receive the proceeds from this spectacular event.
