Nature at your fingertips with the new guestroom amenities.

Even the softest hint of a fragrance has the potential to unlock a cascade of memories, drawing an individual back to cherished moments and places with astonishing clarity. At Sea Island, this transformative power of scent has inspired a new bespoke line of guestroom amenities, designed not just to complement a stay but to become part of its story.

 

“Of all our senses, smell has the strongest connection to our emotions,” says Robert Hoyt, President of LATHER. The skincare company was tapped to help develop the new collection for Sea Island. “Our tailor-made natural fragrances are crafted to become an integral and unforgettable part of the guest experience.”

 

In collaboration with Ella Kent, Director of Spa, Fitness and Well-being at Sea Island, and Jose Serrano, Director of Housekeeping, one of the first steps in the design process was putting together a mood board of colors and visuals that represent the brand, including elements of the architecture, the sea and the lush environment surrounding the resort.

 

“We wanted the new guestroom products to feel like an authentic reflection of our beloved destination,” explains Serrano. “Every detail, from the fragrance notes to the sustainable packaging, was meticulously crafted to ensure it echoed the island’s natural beauty and our commitment to excellence.”

 

The team unveiled a proprietary scent that combines nearly twenty essential oils, including the bright zest of sparkling citrus, the soothing warmth of herbaceous sage and the invigorating touch of eucalyptus. But the artistry doesn’t stop with fragrance—formulations are enriched with marine-derived antioxidants and nutrients like sea algae, sea kelp and spirulina, creating a sensorial experience that nourishes both body and soul. “The sea is central to the destination,” shares Hoyt, “so it felt very natural to weave its influence throughout the fabrication of each item.”

 

The new products include shampoo, conditioner, body wash, moisturizer, hand wash and bar soap. Each embraces sustainability through refillable bottles, which eliminates at least 90% of the plastic waste generated by single-use containers, and sustainable packaging which is crafted from 100% recycled ocean-bound plastic.

 

“These amenities go beyond functionality,” says Kent. “They embody our promise to be good stewards of the environment. They are eco-friendly, natural and plant-based, free from sulfates, phthalates, mineral oils, synthetic colors and parabens. Every aspect was designed with care and intention.”
