Carved from one of the South’s earliest hunting clubs, is Broadfield, Sea Island’s 5,800-acre Sporting Club and Lodge. Surrounded by expansive live oaks, fanning palmettos, and towering pines. And quail, pheasant, and lakes full of largemouth bass. The landscape is secluded, but you have everything you need—comfortable accommodations, modern amenities, traditional farmhouse kitchen, expansive open porches, country library with fireplace, beautiful dining room.
Intimate accommodations in a natural setting.
The natural elements of the Lodge’s décor mimic its surroundings—antlers, warm wood-paneled rooms, and the gorgeous erratic details of the pecky cypress wood ceilings. But these rustic touches only add to Broadfield’s charm. Reserve the stunning Lodge and quaint Guest House.View Accommodations
Dining at Broadfield
Enjoy meals prepared by Broadfield’s own resident chef, with farm-to-table herbs and vegetables, meats cured in the smokehouse, and fresh local seafood.
The Broadfield Experience
Staying on Sea Island but looking for a one-of-a-kind adventure? Consider The Broadfield Experience. Participants will enjoy a demonstration with a Sea Island dog trainer as well as a tour of the 5800-acre property. After venturing back to the lodge, guests will take part in an interactive falconry demonstration, where they will be able to see the falcons up close and even take turns handling the birds of prey. Then, there is an opportunity for a shotgun shooting lesson or a tour of the lodge and its gardens.
Broadfield club members enjoy access to all Broadfield has to offer, including trophy-managed deer hunts, spring turkey hunting, wild boar hunts, dove shooting, unlimited rifle and pistol range use, specially priced quail and pheasant shooting, sporting clays and invitations to annual member events. Limited availability. Contact Lee Barber at email@example.com
Corporate Events and Groups
From small continental pheasant shoots for 22 to round robin activities—pheasant shooting, quail hunting, 5-Stand, freshwater fishing, falconry and rifle/pistol shooting—for up to 100, Broadfield is an excellent destination for large events and outdoor-savvy groups. Enjoy oyster roasts, “pig pickin’s,” low country boils, and other events, as well as large lawn areas for concert space.
Other Sea Island Accommodations
Located at the center of all the action, The Cloister is pleasant. Welcoming. And most of all, comfortable. Choose The Cloister Main Building and Wings, The Cloister Ocean Residences, or The Cloister Beach Club. But no matter where you are, rooms are finely detailed, spacious, and warm.
The Lodge feels more like an intimate hideaway away than a Forbes Five-Star hotel. Lucky for you, it’s both. Located right next to Sea Island’s Plantation golf course. Rich wood. Exposed beams. Marble baths. And all the standard amenities. But nothing about The Lodge is standard.
For a change of pace, trade elegant, old-world style for the fresh, beach-like feel of The Inn—without losing the Sea Island experience. A casual place with a comfortable pace. Bright, airy rooms with plenty of room to unwind. Find a friendly face, a helping hand, and lots of personal attention.
Sea Island Cottages
A treasured Sea Island tradition. Families big and small. Friends far and wide. This beautiful place, is all yours. And so is all of this space. After your round or a day at the beach, you come back and enjoy…each other.
