Sea Island J1 Program

Starting your program on the right foot begins with a seamless arrival. Please ensure you thoroughly review the Arrival Instructions and Transportation sections as soon as your travel plans are made.

You are required to complete and submit your Arrival Form at least two weeks before your departure date. Having your travel itinerary finalized and your documents organized will ensure a smooth, stress-free transition into your new home at Sea Island.

Your journey begins with our onboarding and cultural immersion program. You are expected to attend orientation immediately upon your arrival at Sea Island.

This training is designed to introduce you to our company history, teach you about our unique hospitality culture, and ensure you feel confident as you begin your program.

Your Orientation Schedule

• “Traditions in Excellence” (2 Days): Our signature Sea Island orientation where you will learn about our rich heritage, core values, and five-star service standards. Lunch is provided on both days.
• International Orientation (1 Day): A dedicated session focused on cultural exchange, setting up your life in the United States, and smoothly immersing yourself into both American and Sea Island culture.

What You Need to Know

• Attendance: Mandatory for all incoming participants upon arrival.
• Dress Code: Resort Professional attire is required for all three days.
• Meals: Complimentary lunch is provided during the two days of Traditions in Excellence.
• Schedule Details: You will receive your specific session times and building locations immediately upon your arrival at Sea Island.

If Sea Island is paying the intern/trainee program fees upfront, the intern will be payroll deducted a determine amount of money that will repay this fee. The amount can vary depending on the intern/trainee paycheck, the amount of money that Sea Island pays upfront, and length of program.
