November 20-25, 2018
We value traditions at Sea Island, and Thanksgiving is one we can’t get enough of. In fact, many come back for “seconds” and “thirds.” Join us for this year’s line-up of holiday activities for the entire family, some of which have been offered for years.
Kicking things off is the ever-popular Bingo (two in fact!) Tuesday evening. On Wednesday, Philip Anschutz joins us for a presentation and book signing of his latest books, Out Where the West Begins, before our Thanksgiving Reception in The Cloister Colonial Lounge, open to all.
Bring the entire family for our Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot Family Fun Run on a beautiful stretch of beach followed by a special service in The Cloister Chapel. Then it’s turkey time! Feasts are offered across the resort, ranging from casual to formal and traditional to new-and-exciting.
Once the food has settled on Friday, burn off that turkey in our 5K race at the Beach Club. Later that day, stop by The Cloister Colonial Lounge and see Santa light up our 2018 Christmas tree with featured guests, The Fabulous Equinox Orchestra!
Saturday also brings more fun, including Cookie Cutters and Rainbow Island Supper.
New this year on Friday and Saturday is Gran-Con, an event designed to encourage the two “grands” to connect, building a bridge for dialog between grandparents and grandchildren. See topics, speakers, and more information here.
As you see, this holiday is perfect for the entire family. And we doubt you’ll hear, “I’m hungry” or “I’m bored!”
