The G8 Summit 20th Anniversary
In 2004, Sea Island welcomed the world by hosting the G8 Summit. Sea Island was selected as the site by President George W. Bush because of our reputation of service, privacy, and security. To host such an event took months of planning and preparation, along with a whirlwind of logistics involving multiple military agencies, delegations, and cultural customs. Join us for this special day as we celebrate the 20th anniversary of hosting the G8 Summit by hearing from individuals involved in various aspects of the event, along with dining from a menu just as the world leaders did themselves!
