The Driftwood Course is The Lodge’s new 18-hole putting course, designed by Mark and Davis Love. This creates the perfect pre-dinner activity for you, your family, and friends to enjoy year-round. Open Wednesday-Monday, 10 a.m.-10 p.m. and Tuesday, 1-10 p.m. Beverage service is available each evening. First come, first served. Reservations not taken.More details

Sea Island Beach Club
Tour highlights include Fort Frederica, Christ Church, Epworth-by-the-Sea Methodist Conference Center, the Avenue of Oaks, the Pier Village, the St. Simons Lighthouse, and the former Coast Guard Station.
Jekyll Island Driving Tour
Sea Island Beach Club
Once home to the famed Jekyll Island Club, today’s Millionaires’ Village includes the former clubhouse and restored cottages once belonging to the likes of Morgan and Rockefeller. This driving tour includes the Historic District tram ride and entrance to the Indian Mound Cottage. Additional stops include the Horton House, Driftwood Beach, and the Beach Village at Jekyll.
Fort Frederica Driving Tour
This driving tour takes you to Fort Frederica National Monument on St. Simons Island. Enjoy time outside among the centuries-old oaks and discover what life was like around the fort and Frederica Township, created in 1736.
The Cloister Walking Tour
Hear the fascinating history of Sea Island, with background about Howard Coffin, who created the Sea Island Company in 1926, as well as the hotel’s original architecture, landscape, and furnishings.
G8 Summit and Presidential Walking Tour
Stroll through Sea Island’s collection of Commemorative Oaks and learn the story behind each of these historic trees. Followed by a visit to the Summit Room inside The Cloister (pending availability) and learn about this exciting time in Sea Island’s history.
Golf Walking Tour at The Lodge
Your tour through The Lodge includes a stop in the Trophy Room. Hear the fascinating history of the Sea Island Golf Club, with background about the course architecture. Also includes a walking tour of the club grounds and the story behind the famed Avenue of Oaks.
History Bike Ride at The Lodge
A guided bike ride takes you to the Pier Village and the Coastal Georgia Historical Society Lighthouse and Museum, with several stops along the way to discuss St. Simons’ rich history.
Oak Walk Rise and Shine
This early morning walk takes you among some of our majestic oaks. Bring your favorite cup of coffee as you explore The Cloister gardens and learn about the early days of Sea Island.
The Broadfield Experience
Enjoy a demonstration with a Sea Island dog trainer as well as a tour of the 5800-acre property. After venturing back to the lodge, guests will take part in an interactive falconry demonstration, where they will be able to see the falcons up close and even take turns handling the birds of prey.
