At Sea Island, we embrace our rich natural habitat. And we want to share it with you! Take a walking tour through marsh and maritime forest. Patrol the beach for nesting sea turtles. Fish off the dock and learn about species found in the Black Banks River. Go shelling on the beach. Find the best birding spots—and maybe even a bald eagle or an osprey. Pull a seine net through the surf. Our natural surroundings are full of treasures. What will you discover?

A hands-on fishing experience. Spend the first half hour learning the ins and outs of local fish. The last half hour will be spent fishing off the dock while learning about common species in the Black Banks River. Parent required for children under 8.

Adopt a Sea Turtle Nest

Sea Island Beach Club

Sea Island is the nesting and hatching location for threatened loggerhead sea turtles from mid-May to early October. You can help us protect this beloved species by adopting a nest for yourself or giving one as a gift. Package includes an adoption certificate, name plate on your nest, photograph, plush turtle, lighting awareness magnet, and a t-shirt. Proceeds fund sea turtle conservation on Georgia’s coast.
