Andrew Daffy

Andrew Daffy is one of the world's most sought after Virtual Reality (VR) directors, with solid roots in the animation and movie special effects industry. Starting at world renowned special effects company Framestore, his entry role as Junior Animator at 19 soon rolled into head of 3D Commercials just 5 years later. Supervising a great many legendary commercials like Levi’s ‘Odyssey’, Johnnie Walker ‘Fish’ and XBox ‘Mosquito’, he and his various teams have accumulated over 30 international awards. At his next company, The House of Curves, he developed his career as a director. Key projects were the fashion show he designed for Louis Vuitton, The Ting Tings video ‘Do It Again’. His Avengers VR Experience for Marvel Comics is one of the world's most popular VR experiences. In his new endeavour DAFFY DOT LONDON he is creating many innovative new VR projects.

Michael Gold

Michael Gold has a background in startups, software, and experiential entertainment. He is the CEO and co-founder of Holojam inc., a company that's bringing multiplayer virtual, augmented, and mixed reality experiences to commercial venues, and his expertise in marketing and innovation has been featured in publications including Entrepreneur, Forbes, Mashable, and Techcrunch. Previously, he co-founded and led technology for Clubster, a startup that scaled to hundreds of thousands of active users, and he has led technology for multi-million dollar experiential projects for brands including Starbucks, Target, and LG. He has also helped advance the adoption of new technology in the media and entertainment space by organizing large conferences that have attracted worldwide industry leaders.

Vi Hart

Vi Hart is a mathemusician and philosopher known primarily for her work in mathematical understanding, musical structure, and social justice. Hart has publications in the fields of computational geometry, mathematics and music, mathematical art, and math education, and speaks internationally on a variety of topics. Hart is best known for the film series “Doodling in Math Class”, the stand-alone philosophical work “Twelve Tones,” and as co-creator of “Parable of the Polygons.” Her current research focuses on how virtual reality technology can impact human understanding and the human experience.

David Lobser

David Lobser is an internationally recognized, award winning animation director. He uses computer generated techniques to create lush virtual worlds. He is interested in pushing Virtual Reality and computer animated effects into the realm of the intricate, messy and imperfect in order to articulate complex feelings and sensations. He has an extensive background in commercial animation and visual effects, has taught animation at Harvard University, and is presently the senior artist in residence at NYU's Future Reality Lab. His shared immersive VR work, including the award winning FLOCK, can be simultaneously shared by dozens of interactive participants.

Ken Perlin

Ken Perlin, a professor in the Department of Computer Science at New York University, directs the Future Reality Lab. His research interests include computer graphics and animation, new kinds of user interfaces and education. He is chief scientist at Tactonic Technologies and Holojam Inc. He received an Academy Award for Technical Achievement from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the 2008 ACM/SIGGRAPH Computer Graphics Achievement Award, the TrapCode award for achievement in computer graphics research, the NYC Mayor's award for excellence in Science and Technology, the Sokol award for outstanding Science faculty at NYU, and an NSF Presidential Young Investigator Award. He has been a featured artist at the Whitney Museum of American Art.

Julia Sourikoff

Julia Sourikoff heads up the VR division of the award-winning commercial production company Tool of North America. Before joining Tool, Julia helped launch Future of Storytelling (FoST) in NYC. She was integral to growing the company from a small start-up to an online community with over half a million followers. At FoST Julia specialized in creating exhibitions, developing partnerships, working with world-class brands like American Express, General Electric, Google, and Microsoft. She also organized 'A Closer Look', a VR salon with leadership from Oculus Story Studios, Tribeca Film Festival, and Sundance New Frontier.
