Looking to reach your full potential? This annual training program includes quarterly on-site visits with Player Development Coaching Staff and Specialists while allowing players to live and attend school or college in their hometown.
Our mission is to coach and assist in the development of players through an elite training program. We strive to assist these motivated players in developing their skills to reach their competitive aspirations.
This is a year round training program for players that want to train on a quarterly basis here at the Sea Island Golf Performance Center with one of the top golf instructional teams in the country in an effort to reach their competitive aspirations. This program is also for players that are currently playing college golf and are looking to further develop their game in effort to take it to the highest level.
We are providing an elite training program for players that want to live and attend school in their hometown, while having access to an elite instructional team, including monthly online remote coaching sessions in between quarterly visits. Players visit Sea Island four time per year to work with the staff on all areas of their development with a focus on their core deficiencies.
There is an initial visit and three check-in visits that follow during the year. Each visit is a two day training session that is directly related to statistical weaknesses, focus points based off of our Key Indicators of Success, and previous evaluations and check-in visits.
College Developmental Program
College Prep Program
*All players must submit a playing resume for review by the Senior Player Development Coach to ensure the program is a fit for each player.
Players complete an initial evaluation and initial instruction session during their first two day visit that includes an assessment of all areas of the player’s game. Below is a list of areas that are evaluated:
Players will also work in the areas of course strategy, tournament preparation, college recruitment preparation, and transitioning to their college atmosphere as a collegiate golfer, and life after college as a professional for the College Development Program.
The training doesn't stop when you leave.
Remote Online Training Sessions
After the player completes their initial visit and between check-in visits they will have monthly online coaching sessions until their next check-in visit. Players will post content on their game through an online program called Edufii (www.edufii.com). The player and coach will have a monthly remote check-in where the coach will review all the content that has been posted with the player.
Training Between Check-Ins
Training between sessions is the key to this program and creating an environment at your home facility that will bread development. As a part of our staff assisting in this process we will setup weekly/monthly structured plans known as a periodization plan. This chart will help maximize the player’s time and efforts while training back at their home facility. Players have weekly workouts, specific practice sessions, playing sessions, and other key areas of development that are related to their overall progression strategy. The periodization plan will also help players manage their time throughout the year to help them peak at appropriate times during the season.
Quarterly Check-In Visits
After the 3 month “at home” training period is complete they will schedule another visit to reevaluate, work on core deficiencies, and meet with specialist we have on our team to help in different areas based on their statistical weaknesses and Key Indicators of Success. Players will compete similar evaluations each time they are here training at Sea Island to help baseline their progress and help set their next three month “at home” training sessions.
College Development Program
This is a program for players that are striving to take their game to the highest level in the collegiate arena and potentially play at the professional level after college. This program has a similar model to the College Prep Program, in the regards to the quarterly visits, evaluations, and remote training sessions between sessions. Where this program difference is the discussions of the logistics of playing at the professional level and what that journey requires. This is a player specific program, just as the College Prep Program, and every player’s experience will be different and will be specific to their needs to reach their desired competitive playing aspirations.
