Cottage 126 has been refreshed and redecorated, but its beauty remains in the one hundred and fifty feet of beachfront on the breathtaking Atlantic Ocean. The ocean views are mesmerizing from the abundance of windows in the large downstairs family room with two sitting areas and the upstairs covered porch with its cross breezes. With the beach just outside the door and The Cloister and Beach Club down the drive, time slows down in this cottage.

Off the upstairs porch is a getaway sitting room with plenty of cozy furniture for reading or napping, a wet bar, a refrigerator, television, and half bath.

The downstairs family room has seating for at least fourteen people to watch TV, enjoy conversation, or relax. Everything is surrounded by unique treasures and sweeping ocean views. A mirrored wet bar and ice machine are conveniently located just down the hall. A breakfast room with pine corner cupboards, a table, and four chairs is across the way.

The spacious dining room is delightful with a sizable piece of joyously colored art, chinoiserie lamps, French chairs, and a round table that seats eight or more. A lovely brick patio is right outside with an iron table and chairs surrounded by seasonal colors and shaded by a beautiful live oak tree. Gas and charcoal grills are ready for entertaining friends and family. There is plenty of space between the breakfast room, dining room, and patio for entertaining or enjoying a family meal.

The light-filled kitchen comes alive with vividly colored pieces of children’s art. The spacious island and countertops are perfect for preparing dishes for intimate occasions and grand events. There is also a separate counter with four bistro bar stools for a quick bite. The laundry room is close by to make easy work of washing clothes.

The bedrooms are beautifully decorated with artwork, appointments, and charming seating, and feature ample closet space. There are four bedrooms downstairs with three full baths and one half bath. The large upstairs carriage bedroom features a king bed, sleeper sofa, television, private bath, and sitting area. Perfect for those who enjoy a little more privacy.

The beautiful pool, hot tub, terrace, and large lawn areas make Cottage 126 even more special with the backdrop of the ocean. The pool may be heated with advance request prior to arrival and an additional fee.

This is the quintessential Sea Island cottage that everyone enjoys returning to year after year.
