This beautiful and spacious home overlooks a pristine lagoon and offers luxurious furnishings along with a decorator’s eye for detail. The lush lawn and tropical foliage out front direct you to the French doors that welcome you in. Once inside the two-story foyer the soft glow of the honey colored pine floors lead you to a formal living room with marble fireplace. Carefully selected artwork along with the homey touch of an antique rocker and the sophistication of a white baby grand piano give the room an eclectic charm. Close by is an elegant dining room featuring a monumental dining table situated beneath a one-of-a-kind chandelier.

With old brick flooring and granite countertops setting off the sleek modern cabinetry, the kitchen is both spacious and functional. Plush barstool seating at the counter as well as a wet bar with hammered copper sink make the area perfect for entertaining. The deep farmstyle sink is topped by leaded glass windows offering views of the patio, pool, and lagoon just outside. Modern appliances, including a five-burner Thermador cooktop, Bosch dishwasher, double ovens, and a large Sub-Zero refrigerator, make meal preparation and cleanup easy. Outside, the spacious tabby patio holds a Ducane gas grill and dining table for those evenings you choose to cook and dine poolside. A nice touch is a sitting area around a fire pit with comfortable Adirondack chairs facing the lagoon.

At the back of the house is a less formal den, with wood-panelled walls, built-in bookcases, and deeply tufted leather seating for viewing a large flat screen television. There is even a computer desk in case you need to check in with the office. The enormous master suite awaits downstairs, a cool and restful sanctuary with king bed, pool views, sitting area with wingback chairs, his and hers closets, marble bath with Jacuzzi tub and separate shower. Cottage 278 features a unique floorplan that provides plenty of space as well as privacy. The right hand staircase leads to a roomy bedroom with 2 queen beds, game table and sitting area, as well as a full bath. The left hand staircase leads to two bedrooms, each with private bath. The middle staircase opens to a large sitting area that separates the final two bedrooms. All five upstairs bedrooms are especially spacious, and some offer views of the water from small balconies. You will enjoy the comfort, thoughtful décor, and beautiful furnishings that l make Cottage 278 your ideal vacation destination.
