This beautiful and considerable home overlooks a pristine lagoon and offers luxurious furnishings along with a decorator’s eye for detail. The lush lawn and tropical foliage out front direct you to the French doors that welcome you in. Once inside the two-story foyer, the soft glow of the honey-colored pine floors leads to a formal living room with a marble fireplace. Carefully selected artwork along with the homey touch of an antique rocker and the sophistication of a white baby grand piano give the room an eclectic charm. An elegant dining room featuring a monumental dining table is situated beneath a one-of-a-kind chandelier.

With old brick flooring and granite countertops setting off the sleek modern cabinetry, the kitchen is both spacious and functional. Plush barstool seating at the counter and a wet bar with a hammered copper sink make the area perfect for entertaining. The deep farm-style sink is topped by leaded glass windows offering views of the patio, pool, and lagoon outside. Modern appliances, including a five-burner Thermador cooktop, Bosch dishwasher, double ovens, and a large Sub-Zero refrigerator, make meal preparation and cleanup easy.

A less formal den with wood-paneled walls, built-in bookcases, deeply tufted leather seating, and a large flat-screen television is located at the back of the house. There is even a computer desk in case you need to check in with the office. An enormous downstairs master suite features a king bed, pool views, a sitting area, his and her closets, a marble bath with a Jacuzzi tub, and a separate shower.

Cottage 278 features a unique floor plan that provides plenty of space as well as privacy. The right staircase leads to a sizeable bedroom with two queen beds, a game table, and a sitting area, as well as a full bath. The left staircase leads to two bedrooms, each with a private bath. The middle staircase opens to a large sitting area that separates the final two bedrooms. All five upstairs bedrooms are especially roomy, some with views of the water from small balconies.

Outside, the tabby patio holds a Ducane gas grill and dining table for poolside dining. A sitting area around a fire pit with comfortable Adirondack chairs facing the lagoon adds a nice touch. Pool may be heated with advance request prior to arrival and an additional fee.

The comfort, thoughtful décor, and beautiful furnishings make Cottage 278 your ideal vacation destination.
