A brick-lined tabby walk set beneath gnarled live oaks leads you to the entrance of this traditional brick cottage. The double doorway, painted a whimsical teal, offers an introduction to the many designer touches of color and décor that fill this bright and cheerful home.

A vintage farm-style table sits on a salvaged brick floor just inside the entrance and offers seating for ten in spacious comfort. The open floor plan allows easy access to the living area and provides views of the lush yard and patio just outside double sliding glass doors. Filled with comfortable family-friendly furnishings, the living area provides several sitting areas including one centered on a marble-trimmed fireplace. A flat-screen television and game table are available for entertainment.

The cook in the group will appreciate the modern and impressive kitchen with its double ovens, a five-burner electric range, a microwave, a spacious refrigerator, and a center island with barstool seating for guests. The vaulted ceiling combined with wrought iron chandeliers will remind you of The Cloister. Adjoining the kitchen is a convenient sitting area with an eclectic mix of cozy furnishings as well as direct access to the patio.

The ground floor master is a paneled oasis with a king bed, built-in bookshelves, a sitting area, desk, and a fireplace. Views of the grounds are visible through French doors. The bath features a tiled shower/tub. A second master on the main floor offers a king bed, sitting area, and en suite bath. There are three bedrooms upstairs, including a perfect-for-kids bunkroom with bunk beds.

A tabby patio is partially shaded by towering oaks and swaying palms. There is a seating area, a dining table, and a gas grill all within sight of the sparkling kidney-shaped pool.  Pool may be heated with advance request prior to arrival and an additional fee.

This oceanside location with direct beach access, proximity to the resort, and ample room for the family makes Cottage 289 the ideal choice for your Sea Island vacation.
