David & Lee

What was your favorite memory from your Sea Island Wedding?
We both consider our vows the best moment of the celebration. However, it was also such a delight to see our friends and family enjoy themselves throughout the weekend. Whether golfing, skeet shooting, or sitting by the pool, everyone had a fantastic time.

How did you hear about Sea Island?
Lee grew up vacationing at Sea Island with her family, and David had previously enjoyed the golf school.

If you grew up coming here, what is your favorite past Sea Island memory?
My family vacationed with friends from Savannah, and we used to all enjoy large dinners in the formal dining room at the Cloister each evening. After a long day at the beach or pool, it was fun to share a meal and laugh together.

What was the inspiration for your décor/theme of your wedding?
I wanted a formal but natural look, without appearing overly “bridal.” The color palette was made up of pale blue greys, with light mauves and peaches, with the incorporation of lots of greenery and fruit.

After the wedding was over, were you pleased with the details? How would you describe your experience at Sea Island?
We were thrilled with our experience at Sea Island. From the moment we signed the contract, every need was taken care of, and the team made the process as stress-free as possible. The entire weekend was a dream.
