You will sense you have arrived at a special destination as soon as soon as you walk up the reclaimed brick steps and pass through the arched cerulean doorway into Cottage 270. A spacious foyer with beamed ceiling gives access to the first of many spacious rooms. To the left is a formal living room, with a fireplace surmounted by an enormous gilded mirror that reflects an impressive wrought iron chandelier. An eclectic mix of seating options includes plushly upholstered couches and chairs. An antique oval table with an impressive banquette offers a unique dining venue. The color blue is a recurring theme throughout the room – a reminder of the close-by Atlantic Ocean.

Three sets of French doors lead to the pool terrace. Chaise lounges await poolside with a striking backdrop of palms, ferns, and manicured lawn. A couple of strategically placed hammocks offer a shady respite.

A bit further into the cottage is the enormous kitchen, with 5-burner gourmet gas range, double ovens, built-in refrigerator, wine cooler, and more than ample cabinetry. A marble topped island provides barstool seating. Touches of blue continue the oceanside theme in this room – even down to the range hood and oven! The far end of the kitchen transitions into a cozy and casual sitting area, with couch and easy chairs situated in front of a fireplace and flat screen television. Pecky cypress beams overhead are a nod to traditional coastal architecture.

Just off the kitchen is a casual sitting area filled with rattan furniture. Another fireplace is a focal point of the room along with views of the pool and grounds. A convenient bath with shower offers the perfect option for a post-swim freshen up.

Heading upstairs you will find a relaxing TV room with wet bar and access to a balcony overlooking the grounds. There is also a foosball table for those with an interest in indoor recreation.

Each of the 5 bedrooms on the second level is decorated with unique touches – including the spacious master suite which offers a king bed and en suite bath with soaking tub, double sinks, and rainfall shower.

On the third level two additional bedrooms each offer 2 twin beds. A TV room completes the floor.

Cottage 270 is the ideal choice for a larger family or group of friends, with several gathering areas and a variety of bedding options. Plus, the close-in location on 10th Street means the Cloister and Beach Club are easily accessible.
