This oceanfront classic beach cottage is as thoughtfully designed as it is welcoming. The shingled exterior hints at the casual elegance within. The unique entrance, flanked by towering palms, leads into a two-story atrium foyer featuring an enormous arch that frames the view of the open living and dining areas just beyond – as well as providing the first glimpse of the sparkling Atlantic.

Pristine white walls contrast perfectly with dark wood flooring, while transom lights and a wall of windows cast the room in a sunny glow. A beamed ceiling draws the eye upward, while a fireplace, flanked by twin bookcases, anchors the room. Bright touches of blue, including artwork and fabrics, brighten the calming cream and beige couches.

The dining table offers rattan seating for ten beneath sculptural double chandeliers. Just steps away is the upscale kitchen featuring a six-burner Wolf range and double ovens. White cabinetry abounds, and the center island with a farmhouse sink is a focal point. A breakfast area adjoins the island with banquette seating. A casual den is perfect for relaxing with coffee while gazing at the covered terrace and ocean views just outside French doors.

Stepping outside, the salty scent of the sea and soft breeze remind you of the proximity of the ocean, while the traditional blue-painted ceiling reflects the sun-splashed waves. An additional porch, just off the living room is closer to the uniquely-shaped pool, and offers a giant swing and teak loungers. Connecting the two outdoor living areas is a diamond array of pavers separated by perfectly trimmed grass. Pool may be heated with advance request prior to arrival and an additional fee.

The master suite offers a private den with comfortable seating and direct access to the terrace and pool. The bath features a self-standing soaking tub, a glass-enclosed marble shower, and a walk-in closet. There is one additional bedroom and bath on the first floor and four bedrooms upstairs. Each bedroom offers unique touches such as a swinging chair in one and rope-suspended beds in another.

With stunning décor and attention to detail, Cottage 400 is ideally located beachside less than one mile from The Cloister and Beach Club.
